Where are you???

We spent a week in oceanside, CA. I did an Ironman Half and the family enjoyed the beach, Disneyland, and Knotts Berry Farm. Great race and family trip!!!

Fun stuff! How did the iron man half go? Was that your first one?

From ben on Mon, Apr 05, 2010 at 18:48:33 from 209.33.248.15

That was my first half ironman, and I thought the event was fairly easy. I guess I should have tried harder. But I didn't really know what to expect so I held back. My total time was 5:23; 34 min swim, 2:48 bike, and 1:48 run. I was a little tired on the run from mile 8 to mile 10, but finished strong!

Awesome run there at the end of all of that, especially for being tired! Are ya gonna move on to a FULL now???

I hope too... I am planning to sign up for the St George Ironman 2011.

VERY COOL!!! I can not imagine running a marathon after the biking and swimming. It truly amazes me!

It's not too bad if you pace yourself right and save the running muscles. I don't use my legs in the swim, and I try to use more quad, less hams on the bike.

I can not swim, I hate water. But I would live to try a duathlon---biking and running. I guess I need to buy a good bike first, though!
