AM - Crossfit

45 sec. amrap pull ups
45 sec. amrap hang squat clean, 95lbs
45 sec. amrap double unders
45 sec. amrap air squats
*rest 3 minutes x 5
+
4 min FLRs

Had to replace wall balls with air squats since I don't have my medicine balls yet. FLR's were 3 min and 1 min. My arms were so tired after the WOD that the 3 min hold was pure torture!! Ran 4 miles (8:15 pace) on the treadmill for part of my warm-up.

PM - 5.5 mile run on the IM course with Craig and John. They were still recoverying from last saturday so I got an easy run tonight. :) Went to yoga class right after run.

AHHH, I should have known that. I hate air squats and i can not do pull ups, guess I would have not done so well today!

None of us did that well. It was a tough workout especially by the 5th round!!

I truthfully think I may need to try CrossFit for a month. I need something new. The weights part of my workout is just starting to get boring!

I can't say enough good thing about crossfit. This will leave you sore and aching a lot. Runnersworlds just did an article on the crossfit endurance program. Cathy saw hugh results, and I am slowing getting stronger. Crossfit is fun to do as a group! If your serious I would shop around at all the crossfit gyms and find the one that makes you feel motivated and comfortable. Marci, who won the silver shoe at st george marathon 2011, and amber green who place third at the st george marathon 2010 both attend our gym. they are amazing athletes!!! I have my own gym too. This is where I work my kids, friends, and employees over!!

Too bad I do not live down there. I knew those two ladies did Crosffit, read it somewhere. And I did read the article as well.

My husband did CrossFit for years (way before it was popular, so you had to use the website-there were no gyms). He actually kind of messed with it a little and came up with his own workout (CrossFit was basically his inspiration, but he added to it). It is now what they use to train the cadets at the police academy. they have to add in MORE cardio, though.

I would like to just be able to do it at my gym, but you never know how crowded it will be and how much space you will have! I do need a change, so I will have to go check out the 2 that are close to me.
